Introduction

I grew up in New Delhi, though my family is orginally from Hyderabad.  I earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in engineering and international business, from the Delhi College of Engineering and the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade respectively.  I lived in Philadelphia while getting a PhD in management and a Master's in Applied Economics & Management Science from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.  I moved to London (and London Business School) in November 2001 in my first faculty position. I was tenured at the School in April 2008.

In my role as the Co-Director of the Aditya Birla India Centre at the School, and as a visiting faculty member at the Indian School of Business I am in India quite often.

In my spare time, I enjoy Indian classical music - both Carnatic and Hindustani.  My wife, Panchali, and I are also avid readers and movie buffs.  We live with our son Pranav in West London.
