Basic Research Collaborations
In my research I am broadly interested in corporate innovation phenomena. More narrowly, I study what firms can do to appropriate the returns from innovative activity in a competitive environment, which strategies they (should) follow, and which organizational approaches they (should) take.
If you think that your corporate problem
- falls into these domains
- is one of general scientific interest (!)
- can be analyzed through access to unique data
please contact me via e-mail briefly describing your research idea.
Kindly bear in mind the following, however. Basic research collaborations require a mutual interest in the outcome of the project. From my side this means that such projects need to have - amongst other criteria - a purely scientific output to qualify as academic research projects. Often these projects entail the provision of otherwise inaccessible corporate data for research purposes. Unfortunately, though, not all corporate data is interesting enough to enable embarking on an academic research co-operation.
If, on the other hand, you are faced with a tricky corporate problem that needs to be solved by non-standard means, but the problem itself is not new to the world of science, please also feel free to contact me. In this case my work with you is likely to have more of a consulting character.
