Introduction
Ian Cooper is Professor of Finance at London Business School.Ian has served on the London Business School faculty since 1978. He is the former Chairman of the Finance subject area and Director of the Institute of Finance and Accounting. He has also held visiting positions at the University of Chicago and Australian Graduate School of Management.
He has published widely in academic journals, including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. He has articulated the practical implications of his research in many articles in practitioner journals, such as the Journal of Applied Corporate Finance and Oxford Review of Economic Policy, as well as many published consulting reports. He serves on the Editorial Boards of nine journals.
Ian has taught widely across all the programs of the school. The quality of his teaching has been recognised by several teaching prizes. Currently he teaches the Valuation module of the Corporate Finance Modular Program.
He also has extensive consulting and expert witness experience. His main areas of expertise are valuation, corporate finance including structured debt, regulation and cost of capital. For further details, contact him at icooper@london.edu.
